Tampa Bay Beaches
This is the short list of some of the most well know beaches in the area. Caladesi takes top honors on the "Dr. Beach" - best of 2008. Siesta Beach lands a respectable third place in the "Over All" 2008 list, as well as Siesta Key's Cresent Beach #3 on the Best Walking list. Captiva Island makes #3 on the "most Romantic" list.  Ft. Desoto made the top of list in 2005 and 2009. Florida's beaches are one of the top wedding destinations in the world.

Please observe individual city/beach parking laws, and avoid parking in shopping centers or on private streets - unless you want to spend a day retrieving your car from the impound.  You're sure to be welcome at many of our beaches public access/parking. Hundreds of the public access areas are owned and maintained by city, county or state parks departments. In addition to providing parking, numerous parks offer nature tours, picnic areas, restrooms/showers and snack bars.
